In honor of Earth Day, The City of Ventura recognizes two schools for their outstanding sustainability and water wise efforts.  Environment Sustainability Division has partnered with Agromin Premium Soil Products to present Environmental Leadership Award. Ventura Water presents the Watershed Hero Award. To apply for this year’s Green School Awards, please complete the online application or written application by March 31, 2017. Winners will receive $500 and be recognized in front of the City Council! All public and private schools within the Ventura City limits are encouraged to apply. Find out more and ENTER, click here.

Visit Ventura Water’s Booth at the 2017 Wild & Scenic Film Festival March 3 & 4


On Friday and Saturday, March 3 and 4, 2017, the Ventura Hillsides Conservancy presents the popular Wild & Scenic Film Festival at the Poinsettia Pavilion, 3451 Foothill Road in Ventura. Come visit Ventura Water’s booth in the reception area!

The festival presents the opportunity to view award-winning short films that celebrate the beauty of our natural world. Always a sold out annual event, the Ventura festival is part of the larger Wild & Scenic family, which showcases environmental films around the globe.

The evening’s event begins at 6:00 p.m. for a reception where attendees enjoy live music, food, drink, and an extensive raffle. The screenings commence at 7:00 p.m.

City of Ventura FREE Gardening Classes start February 25, 2017

Beginning February 2017, the City of Ventura presents NEW Gardening Classes consisting of seminars and workshops once a month on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Environmental Specialist Haili Matsukawa shares information about this popular series, which is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC with an RSVP.
