Saturday, November 19, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. To 11:30 a.m., the City hosts the FREE Water Wise Gardening Class, “California Natives, Mediterranean, Drought Tolerant? Right Plant: Right Place.” at the Sanjon Maintenance Yard, 336 San Jon Road, Ventura. RSVP FOR YOUR SEAT: http://bit.ly/2fILmti
Just for fun and as a part of our annual summer awareness campaign, Ventura Water wants to know … How do you save water? How has the drought inspired you to make sacrifices and go above and beyond the call of duty to minimize your water footprint? We want to know!
On July 4, Ventura Water launched Capture Conservation, a local photo contest that offers residents who have dug in and battled to conserve an opportunity to capture what they’ve done in a photo, share it with us on social media, and be entered to win some great prizes. Whether it’s a fancy rainwater harvesting system or simply a reusable water bottle, we are asking you and your friends to be creative and share how you are “capturing conservation!”
It’s easy to enter … Simply take a photo that captures your water conservation story. Be creative! Post the photo(s) to Ventura Water’s Facebook page (facebook/venturawater) and submit your photo via the photo contest tab or post to either Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #keepsavingventura. Make sure you click on “share” to share your experience … and remember #keepsavingventura!
